33rd Annual Loon Festival

Come join the fun at the 33rd Annual Loon Festival at The Loon Center in Moultonborough, NH on Saturday July 17th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, rain or shine. Admission is free so mark your calendar and don’t miss it! What better way is there to start your weekend!

There’s something for everyone at the Loon Festival – crafts and balloons for the kids, slide presentations by loon biologists for the adults, and food, beverages and wildlife exhibits for everyone. Try your hand at Pin the Chick on the Loon game or take the Loon Facts quiz and win 3 throws at the dunk tank!

Other attractions include: Mr. Phil, Balloonologist Extraordinaire, who will entertain everyone with his wild creations and comedic banter; Mrs. Phil and her creative face painting is not to be missed; and the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center will have a Discovery Table.

For more than 33 years the Loon Preservation Committee has worked to preserve the Common Loon and its habitat in New Hampshire through research, education and management activities. Come learn about these marvelous and mysterious birds and how you can help protect them.

To reach The Loon Center from Route 25 in Moultonborough turn onto Blake Road at the Moultonborough Central School. Follow Blake Road one mile to the end at Lee’s Mills Road. Turn right and the Loon Center is the first building on the left. For further information call (603) 476-5666.
